PHILADELPHIA -- Steve Maneri caught a 5-yard touchdown from quarterback Adam DiMichele with 1:51 remaining and Temple rallied for 14 points in the fourth quarter in a 14-10 victory over Ohio on Tuesday.

Kee-ayre Griffin rushed 22 times for 85 yards and a 1-yard score with 10:53 left, cutting the lead to 10-7. It was Temple's first touchdown at home in more than 11 quarters and an overtime, which included previous home losses to Connecticut and Western Michigan.

Temple improved to 3-5 overall and 2-3 in the Mid-American Conference.

DiMichele (9-of-22, 79 yards) hadn't played since sustaining an injury to his right shoulder on the first drive of Temples 45-3 loss at Penn State on Sept. 20.

Boo Jackson completed 23-of-40 passes for 220 yards for Ohio, which fell to 2-6 and 1-3 in the conference.

The Bobcats jumped out to a 10-0 lead thanks to strong play from its defense, which registered five sacks. Chris Garrett's 2-yard touchdown with 7:19 left in the first half propelled Ohio to the 10-point advantage.

Temple went nearly two full quarters without a first down between the first and third quarter.

Trailing 10-7, Temple's Anthony Perlozzo missed a field goal wide left with 4:43 to go.

But Ohio fumbled on the first play of its ensuing possession and Terrance Knighton recovered, setting up Maneri's game-winning touchdown catch.

Ohio still had one last drive and faced fourth and 17 from the Temple 44. Jackson appeared to connect with Brandon Peterson on an 18-yard completion with 20 seconds remaining.

After a review by the officials the call was overturned, ending the comeback.
