PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Mike Dougherty passed for 285 yards and two touchdowns, both to Bobby Sewall, as Brown beat Cornell, 27-7, today.
Dougherty completed 20-of-37 passes as Brown began a season by winning their first three league games for the first time in school history. The team improved its record to 4-and-2 overall, and 3-and-0 in the Ivy League.
Sewall finished the day with 11 catches for 181 yards.
Jesse Baker had eight catches for 94 yards for Cornell, whose record fell to 3-and-3 overall, and 1-and-2 in the league. Nathan Ford threw for 216 yards on 29-of-48 passing.
Cornell scored their only points in the first quarter as Ford hit Baker with a 16-yard touchdown pass.
