GREELEY, Colo. -- Cole Bergquist had two touchdowns and threw for 243 yards and completed 14 of his 18 passes as Montana beat Northern Colorado 41-20 on Saturday.
Mike Ferriter caught three passes for a total of 88 yards for the Grizzlies (7-1, 3-1 Big Sky Conference). Montana, ranked No. 8 in the Sports Network poll, led 24-3 at halftime.
Northern Colorado quarterback Bryan Waggener didn't return for the second half because of an undisclosed injury, forcing the Bears to play their two other quarterbacks, Dylan Orms and James Schrenk.
Waggener threw for 53 yards and completed six of his 11 passes for the Bears (1-6, 1-3). Orms, a freshman, finished 6-of-11 passing for 53 yards and led the Bears with 67 rushing yards on nine carries and one rushing touchdown.
Orms threw the first touchdown for the Bears with 3:43 left in the game to make it 41-13. Then he three a five-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Smith to reach the final score of 41-20.
