HOUSTON -- Paul Roberts threw for 413 yards and five touchdowns to lead Mississippi Valley State to a 58-44 win against Texas Southern on Saturday.

The two teams traded scores again, including a 2-point safety by Mississippi Valley State and one touchdown apiece for both schools. They ended the third quarter with the Panthers trailing, 37-34.
