HUNTSVILLE, Texas -- Karrington Bush's 5-yard run in overtime gave Texas State a come-from-behind 48-45 win over Sam Houston State on Saturday and at least a tie for the Southland Conference championship.

The game went into overtime when Jason Madkins caught a 27-yard scoring pass from Rhett Bomar with four seconds left in regulation. The PAT tied the game at 42.

Taylor Wilkins' 32-yard field goal in OT put Sam Houston up 45-42, before Bush's scoring run gave the Bobcats the victory and at least a share of the Southland title.

Bush ran for 97 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries for Texas State (8-4, 5-2 Southland). Meanwhile, Bradley George threw for 319 yards and two touchdowns.

Bomar, the former Oklahoma Sooner, led Sam Houston, which opened up a 14-0 lead on Bomar's 25-yard scoring pass to Trey Payne in the first quarter.

Bomar was 33 of 55 with 387 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Madkins caught six balls for 77 yards and two scores.

Aston was a workhorse for the Bearkats, running for 179 yards and a touchdown on 33 carries.

Sam Houston (4-6, 2-4) led 21-13 at halftime.
