MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Rahmod Traylor rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown to lead Alabama State to a 38-6 victory over Edward Waters on Saturday night.
Traylor led the Hornets' dominating ground game, which finished with 257 yards and three touchdowns. Jermaine Preyear added 52 yards and two touchdowns for Alabama State (3-0).
Preyear scored the Hornets' first and final touchdowns on a pair of 2-yard runs, Traylor scored on a 2-yard run and Noel Alphonso had a 26-yard interception return.
Brandon Turman threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Samuel Charles with 9:42 left in the third quarter for the only touchdown for Edward Waters (0-3).
