KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Tim Hiller threw four touchdown passes and Jamail Berry returned a fumble for a score seven seconds into the game as Western Michigan topped Miami (Ohio) 48-26 Saturday.

The Broncos (1-2, 1-0 Mid-American), who scored the game's first 35 points, capitalized on five turnovers by the RedHawks (0-3, 0-1) while extending their home winning streak to seven.

Eugene Harris caught six passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns for Miami, which scored its first points of the season with 7:09 remaining in the third quarter on a 14-yard pass from Daniel Raudabaugh to Harris.

Hiller completed 17 of 29 passes for 185 yards and now has 81 career TD passes, three shy of former Miami quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's conference record.

Berry's TD came on a 24-yard return on the first play from scrimmage, and he also had an interception.
