VILLANOVA, Pa. -- Aaron Ball scored the first of Villanova's four touchdowns to open the game and the Wildcats defeated Northeastern 56-7.

Ball had 109 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries to lead a rushing attack that totaled 410 yards.

The Wildcats rushed for six touchdowns, including two by Lawrence Doss. Doss rounded out the Wildcats' scoring on a 5-yard run with 9:55 remaining and a 14-yard run with 4:18 left.

Chris Whitney added 98 yards on 10 carries for Villanova (4-0) in the conference opener for both teams.

Whitney also was 7-for-11 with 84 yards and a passing and rushing touchdown as Villanova moved to 7-1 all-time against Northeastern (0-4).

Alex Dulski was 16-for-31 with 138 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions for the Huskies.
