AMHERST, Mass. -- Jonathan Hernandez rushed for a career-high 166 yards and a fourth-quarter touchdown, part of 13 unanswered points to seal Massachusetts' 23-17 comeback win over New Hampshire on Saturday.

R.J. Toman threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Scott Sicko to put New Hampshire ahead 17-10 to start the fourth, setting the stage for the UMass (4-2, 2-1 Colonial Athletic Association) comeback.

Armando Cuko kicked a 36-yard field goal with 7:15 to play before Hernandez ran 42 yards for a TD less than 2 minutes later, putting the Minutemen ahead 20-17. Cuko, who also hit a 31-yarder in the second quarter, connected on a 41-yard kick with 1:26 to play to ice the game for UMass.

Toman finished 23-for-45 with 284 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions for the Wildcats (5-1, 2-1).

The Minutemen have won three of the last four against the Wildcats.
