OGDEN, Utah -- Cameron Higgins threw for 290 yards and five touchdowns, three of them to Tim Toone, as Weber State defeated Sacramento State 49-10 Saturday.

Toone finished with eight catches for 154 yards and reached the end zone on a 95-yard punt return which set a school and Big Sky Conference record.

Jason Smith threw for 137 yards for Sacramento State (2-4, 2-2). The Hornets' lone touchdown came on a 12-yard pass from Smith to Brian Heath with 2 minutes left in the second quarter.

The Wildcats (4-3, 4-1) scored on their first possession when Higgins hit Toone with a 25-yard TD pass which moved Toone past the 3,000-yard receiving mark for his career. He is the first WSU receiver to reach the milestone and the seventh in Big Sky history.
