SAN DIEGO -- Ryan Lindley threw three touchdown passes to lift San Diego State to a 23-20 win over New Mexico on Saturday night, handing the Lobos their 12th straight loss.

Lindley threw a pair of TD passes to DeMarco Sampson, including the go-ahead score on a 4-yard pass with 7:54 to go in the game. Lindley, who was 22 of 38 for 253 yards, also had scoring passes of 18 yards to Alston Umuolo and a 7-yarder to Sampson.

Donovan Porterie threw for one touchdown and ran for another for New Mexico (0-8, 0-4 Mountain West), which had its eight-game winning streak over San Diego State (4-4, 2-2) snapped. James Aho kicked two field goals.

New Mexico head coach Mike Locksley was back on the sidelines after missing one game while serving a 10-day suspension after he was accused of throwing a punch at receivers coach J.B. Gerald in a Sept. 20 incident.
