HAMMOND, La. -- Southeastern Louisiana had four interceptions, including one for a touchdown by Tommy Connors, in a 24-10 win over Tennessee-Martin on Saturday night.
The Lions (1-1) gave up 525 yards of offense, but five Skyhawks' turnovers, including a fumble, helped them win the first meeting between the schools since 1981.
Jones, who had 17 carries, opened the scoring on a 39-yard touchdown run. Fairley then ran one of his 15 carries for a 26-yard score in the second quarter. Seth Sebastian capped the first-half scoring on a 37-yard field goal for a 17-0 Lions' lead.
