NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Geoff Dunham scored on a 57-yard fumble recovery and Yale overcame struggles on offense in a 14-13 win over Princeton on Saturday.
The Bulldogs (7-2, 5-1 Ivy League), who totaled 299 yards of offense, took a 7-0 lead after Dunham picked up the fumble forced by Allen Davis on second-and-eight early in the first quarter.
Princeton (1-8, 0-6) got back in the lead after a 33-yard field goal by Patrick Jacob and a 28-yard pass from Connor Kelley to Trey Peacock for a 10-7 advantage with 3:45 left in the second quarter.
However, the lead was short-lived as Patrick Witt threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Chris Blohm with 1:59 left until halftime.
Witt finished with 237 yards on 22-for-32 passing in Yale's third straight win.
Jon Olofsson had 14 tackles, including 13 solo and two for loss along with one fumble forced and one recovered for the Tigers.
