HOUSTON -- Marcus Wright ran for 134 yards and a touchdown to lead Texas Southern to a 20-13 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday night.
The Tigers (8-3, 8-1 Southwestern) shutout the Golden Lions (5-6, 4-5) in the first half, scoring on a touchdown run by Wright and two field goals by Robert Hersh.
The Golden Lions finally got on the board just after halftime when Josh Boudreaux found Torrence Shelton Jr., to make it 13-7.
The Tigers extended their lead late in the third period on a short scoring run by Martin Gilbert.
Boudreaux and Shelton connected again midway through the fourth quarter but Chris Ewald missed the extra point kick.
Boudreaux finished throwing 22 for 42 for 165 yards.
TSU's Arvell Nelson threw 14 for 20 for 166 yards.
