Delaware first team to advance to FCS semifinals

NEWARK, Del. -- Pat Devlin threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns and Delaware defeated New Hampshire 16-3 on Friday night in the quarterfinals of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.

The Blue Hens (11-2) will host the semis against Georgia Southern, a 23-20 winner over Wofford on Saturday.

Devlin, who was 27 of 38, hit Nihja White with a 24-yard touchdown with 7:09 to go in the third, then found Mark Schenauer for a 9-yard TD with 13:04 left.

White had eight catches for 94 yards and Andrew Pierce rushed for 90 yards on 23 carries.
