Gaskins rushed for 98 yard on 24 carries for the Spiders, who played in their home opener after knocking off Duke in Durham, N.C., last week. He scored on a 1-yard run to give Richmond a 15-point advantage in the final quarter.
Tre Gray caught six passes for 85 yards for the Spiders.
Nick Doscher, who was sacked three times, threw for 121 yards for the Seahawks (1-1).
