CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Jacob Huesman accounted for a career-best five touchdowns and the defense had four interceptions as Chattanooga easily held on for a 42-21 win over Western Carolina on Saturday night.
Huesman threw four touchdown passes and ran for another score, and was 18 of 25 for 223 yards passing.
The Mocs (3-2, 1-1 Southern Conference) out-gained the Catamounts on the ground 209-98 in their fourth-straight game with at least 200 yards rushing. Keon Williams led the way with 127 yards on 20 carries.
The Catamounts (1-5, 0-3) threw three first-half interceptions and were down 28-0 before scoring their first touchdown late in the third quarter. They never quit, scoring twice more, but never got closer than within 21 points of Chattanooga.
