TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) -- Chip Keys ran for three touchdowns to help Eastern Illinois beat Indiana State 54-20 on Saturday night.
Keys had just 10 carries for 45 yards, but he scored on runs of 2, 1 and 2 yards.
Eastern Illinois gained 609 total yards and held the Sycamores to 216, including just 59 passing yards.
The Panthers ran for seven touchdowns. Four different players had rushing scores.
Eastern Illinois (2-2) jumped out to a 20-0 lead before Indiana State (0-4) scored two touchdowns in the second quarter to get back in the game.
Eastern Illinois' Travouris Bess ran for two touchdowns in the second quarter to help the Panthers take a 34-20 halftime lead.
Eastern Illinois shut out the Sycamores in the second half.
Bodie Reeder completed 23 of 26 passes for 298 yards for Eastern Illinois. Alicus Nozinor caught eight passes for 93 yards and Micah Rucker added five catches for 86 yards.
Bess ran for 93 yards and Ron Jordan added 80 yards and a touchdown for the Panthers.
Bryan McCulley ran 13 times for 94 yards for Indiana State.
