DURHAM, N.H. (AP) -- New Hampshire rushed for 257 yards and scored six touchdowns in the first half to cruise past Iona 49-21 on Saturday.
Mike Boyle started the scoring early in the first quarter with a 69-yard run. The Wildcats quickly dug a too deep a hole for Iona to climb out of with five more scores on runs from Chris Ward, Chad Kackert and R.J. Toman, and a 10-yard pass from Toman to Keith LeVan.
Iona ( 4-2) finally put seven points on the board with 23 seconds left in the half on a 4-yard pass from Nick Rossetti to Daron Ellis.
Iona added another TD early in the second half with a scoring strike from Rossetti, this time from six yards out to Tyle Schroeder.
New Hampshire (5-2) added its last score on a 1-yard run by Sean Jellison with 27 seconds left in the third.
Iona capped the scoring with a final drive late in the fourth when Dustin Croick hit Demarcus White from nine yards out with 36 seconds left in the game.
