JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) -- Ryan Perrilloux accounted for three touchdowns to lead Jacksonville State to a 45-18 victory over Alabama A&M on Saturday night.
Perrilloux, who completed 11-of-17 passes, threw for 138 yards and added 45 yards rushing for Jacksonville State (1-1). Daniel Jackson added 125 yards rushing and a 37-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
The Gamecocks trailed 12-10 in the second quarter before scoring 35 unanswered points. Perrilloux kicked off the scoring surge when he connected with Eric Johns for a 2-yard touchdown as Jacksonville State claimed a 19-10 lead in the second.
Perrilloux followed with a 4-yard touchdown run and then threw a 4-yard score to Johns to push Jacksonville State ahead 33-10 with :15 seconds left in the first half.
Ulysses Banks led Alabama A&M (0-2) with 78 yards rushing and one touchdown.
