POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Bo Ehikioya ran for 201 yards and scored one touchdown in Marist's 28-7 win over Iona Saturday.
Ehikioya had four bursts of 25 yards or more and scored on a 3-yard run late in the first quarter.
Keith Mitchell ran for 101 yards on nine carries, including a 10-yard run for Marist's first score. Ryan Dinnebeil scored from 4 yards out in the second quarter and 2 yards in the third to round out Marist's (3-5) balanced rushing attack.
Iona quarterback Warren Smith completed 19 of 35 passes for 205 yards but was intercepted three times in Marist territory, twice in the end zone. Tim Mastrino caught six passes for 80 yards, and the Gaels' lone score came on their first possession of the game on a 1-yard run by Joe Muraglia.
It was Marist's fifth straight win against its former Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference rival. Both are competing as Football Championship Subdivision Independents this year.
