TOLEDO, Ohio -- Adonis Thomas ran for 163 yards, Terrance Owens tossed two touchdown passes and Toledo beat Bowling Green 33-14 on Wednesday night.
Toledo (7-4, 6-1 Mid-American Conference) led 19-0 after one quarter and 26-7 at halftime, bouncing back after a 65-30 loss at Northern Illinois last week. Eric Page had a 48-yard touchdown reception and threw a 35-yard pass to Tim Cortazzo for another score in the first, keying the Rockets' fast start.
Matt Schilz completed 30 of 47 passes for 219 yards and a touchdown for the Falcons (2-9, 1-6). But he also tossed two interceptions and was sacked four times.
Thomas had an 81-yard touchdown scamper and set a career high for rushing yards. He also had five receptions for 72 yards.
