KINGSTON, R.I. -- Marcus Wasilewski threw four touchdown passes, Nigel Jones scored twice on the ground, and Maine blasted to a 34-6 halftime lead and never looked back in a 55-6 dismantling of winless Rhode Island on Saturday in both teams' season finale.
Maine accumulated 565 yards of total offense to 228 for Rhode Island (0-11, 0-8 Colonial Athletic Association).
Wasilewski was efficient, completing 15 of 22 passes for 201 yards for the Black Bears (5-6, 4-4). Jones rushed 15 times for 182 yards.
Jones contributed an 82-yard touchdown run to conclude the scoring.
