Mike Warren has taken over as Iowa State's primary RB and has ignited the running game. The Cyclones rushed for more than 200 yards in back-to-back games for the first time since 2013 with Warren leading the way. The redshirt freshman rushed for 126 yards against Toledo and 175 yards against Kansas. He could be important against Texas Tech on Saturday as Iowa State looks to limit the chances it gives the Red Raider offense.

The University of Oregon is offering free tickets to this Saturday's Washington State game to Umpqua Community College students and staffers. Oregon has already added decals to their helmets to honor the victims and community of the UCC shooting but it's great to see Oregon continuing to reach out in different ways.

In surrendering more than 40 points a game right now, it's not unthinkable that Kansas could challenge Louisiana-Lafayette’s 1997 defense for the ignominious FBS season record of 50.3 points allowed per game. Especially given the Jayhawks' remaining schedule includes the nation's top three scoring teams, including Baylor this weekend.

Maryland says Edsall will coach vs. OSU

With rumors swirling about Randy Edsall's job status, Maryland announced he will be on the sideline when the Terrapins take on the top-ranked Buckeyes. Edsall, who is 22-33 during his tenure with Maryland, is likely to be fired following Saturday's game as the Terps enter a bye week, according to a report by InsideMDSports.

Vols: No inappropriate conduct by Jones

Tennesee Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek addressed rumors that football coach Butch Jones fought and punched OL Mack Crowder during a fall practice, saying in a statement obtained by Joe Schad there was no inappropriate conduct: "There's been a lot of rumor and misinformation ... It's not our practice to respond to rumors, but I thought it was important to let you know that we've done our due diligence."
