Illinois gives Bill Cubit 2-year agreement

Cubit was named interim head coach Aug. 28 after coach Tim Beckman was let go. Cubit has led the Fighting Illini to a 5-6 record with a win needed over Northwestern today to become bowl eligible. The extension will keep the length of his contract at two years and pay Cubit $1.2M per year.

After a roughing the punter penalty extended OSU's drive, Ezekiel Elliott ran for 66 yards before being taken down at the Michigan 10. Elliott had just 33 yards all of last week vs. Michigan State.
