Harvard to go dancing for first time since 2003
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Harvard clinched the Ivy League title Friday to become the first women's team to officially secure a spot in the 2007 NCAA Tournament field.
The Crimson (13-12, 11-1) beat Cornell 64-48 Friday to clinch the Ivy's regular-season title (the league doesn't hold a conference tournament). Harvard earned its first NCAA Tournament bid since 2003. All six of Harvard's NCAA berths have come in coach Kathy Delaney-Smith's tenure.
