Cooper-Dyke takes new job

WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Hall of Fame electee Cynthia Cooper-Dyke has been named North Carolina-Wilmington's women's basketball coach.

UNC Wilmington announced Monday that Cooper-Dyke is leaving Prairie View after five seasons to replace Ann Hancock.

As a player, Cooper-Dyke won two NCAA titles at Southern California in the 1980s and a gold medal at the Seoul Olympics in 1988 before winning two WNBA MVP awards and the league's first four championships with the Houston Comets before ...
