Vanderbilt's Jenni Benningfield is battling a stress fracture in her right foot and is expected to see "very limited action" this weekend when the Commodores host Auburn (ESPN2), according to a news release posted on the team's official athletic site Monday.

Benningfield played a combined 11 minutes in Vanderbilt's past two games, a 65-57 win against Kentucky on Jan. 8 and a 67-61 loss to Florida on Jan. 11. The 6-foot-3 forward, touted as one of the top players in the SEC, didn't play at all in a 51-point blowout against Savannah State on Jan. 5.

Benningfield ranks second on the team in scoring (15.3 points) and rebounding (6.9). She scored in double-digits in each of Vanderbilt's first 12 games of the season, posting three double-doubles.

Against Louisville on Nov. 29, Benningfield hit 13 of 20 shots and scored 34 points, the SEC's single-game scoring high so far this season. She added 31 points and 13 rebounds on Dec. 28 against Rhode Island.
