KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Pat Summitt will keep coaching at Tennessee for at least four more seasons.

Summitt's new contract extension, obtained by The Associated Press on Monday but signed in November, calls for an annual salary of $824,500, an increase of $74,500 from her previous deal.

Summitt, with six national titles and 837 wins in her 30th season as coach of the Lady Vols, also received an additional $70,000 last year for leading the team to the Final Four.

The university did not announce Summitt's extension when it was signed, and the AP obtained it in a general request through UT for current coaches' contracts.

Tennessee moved up to No. 1 in the rankings Monday for the first time since the 2000-01 season. The Lady Vols beat then top-ranked Duke 72-69 on Saturday.

The 51-year-old Summitt's new contract ends after the 2007-08 season.

The new deal calls for Summitt to continue receiving $75,000 a year for general public relations services and adds a new feature: four tickets in the athletic department's suite in Neyland Stadium.

Summitt's guaranteed salary remains the third-highest at Tennessee behind football coach Phillip Fulmer ($1.78 million) and men's basketball coach Buzz Peterson ($769,500).
