Gopher duo to appear at beginning of show

Minnesota coach Pam Borton and Gopher senior Lindsay Whalen will appear on ESPN2's Cold Pizza show on Friday morning.

The pair, which will be interviewed by Mary Murphy, will discuss the Gophers' march through the NCAA Tournament and their upcoming Sweet 16 action against Boston College in the NCAA Mideast Region semifinal contest on Sunday.

ESPN2, which currently reached 85.7 million homes, launched Cold Pizza last October as part of its 10th anniversary celebration. The two-hour, weekday morning show airs live from New York City at 7-9 a.m. ET and is is rebroadcast from 9-11 a.m.

The segment featuring Borton and Whalen, an All-American guard, is expected to air at the top of the show at approximately 7:12 a.m.

Purdue coach Kristy Curry and Rutgers' coach C. Vivian Stringer appeared on Cold Pizza last week.
