Portland expected to coach this week
UNIVERSITY PARK, Penn. -- Penn State women's basketball coach Rene Portland was hospitalized Sunday night after experiencing a fainting episode, the school announced Monday.
Portland is expected to be released later Monday or Tuesday, team director of athletic medicine Dr. Wayne Sebastianelli said.
Portland, whose team lost 84-69 at No. 3 Texas on Sunday, is expected to make the No. 21 Lady Lions' trip to Duke for their game against the No. 6 Blue Devils on Friday.
