Center Freeman out for season
JONESBORO, Ark. -- Arkansas State center Rodneikka Freeman will be out for the rest of the season after she was diagnosed with a career-ending congenital heart defect, coach Brian Boyer announced Friday.
"Our biggest concern now is for Rodneikka and her health," Boyer said. "From a basketball standpoint I am disappointed for Rodneikka. She has given so much to this program."
Freeman, a native of Stone Mountain, Ga., has played in 29 games for the Indians after transferring from Kansas. So far this season she played in 11 games.
