Gray was at Arizona for two seasons
ST. LOUIS -- Yeshimbra "Shimmy" Gray will become the women's basketball coach at Saint Louis after spending two years as an assistant at Arizona.
She replaces Jill Pizzotti, who was fired last month after 10 years at Saint Louis following a 4-23 season. None of her teams made the NCAA Tournament.
Gray will be introduced Tuesday, the school said Monday.
Before going to Arizona, Gray worked three seasons as an assistant at Washington in St. Louis.
Gray played at Michigan from 1991-94 and professionally in Portugal in 1998-99. She was an assistant at Bellevue (Wash.) Community College for the 1999-00 season.
