Meier is a Duke Hall of Famer
MIAMI -- Katie Meier will be making the move from Charlotte to Miami.
After posting a 76-45 record at Charlotte, Meier on Tuesday was tabbed to replace Ferne Labati as women's basketball coach at Miami.
Meier led the 49ers to three postseason bids, including an NCAA Tournament appearance. Charlotte was 22-9 this season, earning a berth in the NIT.
Labati was fired after a 13-16 record, concluding a 17-year tenure with the school.
A Duke Hall of Famer and part of the first Blue Devils women's team to reach the NCAA Tournament, Meier scored 1,761 points in her career and is the school's all-time leader in assists (409) and steals (232).
