Pegram averaged 16.8 at Seward County

STILLWATER, Okla. -- New Oklahoma State coach Kurt Budke
signed junior-college center Whitney Pegram to a letter of intent
Wednesday -- his third junior-college signee this week.

The 6-foot-4 Pegram follows her former coach Jim Littell and
former teammate Amanda Foster to the Cowgirls from Seward County
(Kan.) Community College, where she was the Lady Saints' leading
scorer last season.

Pegram, from Silver Lake, Kan., averaged 16.8 points, 7.0
rebounds and 2.8 blocks as Seward County went 35-3.

"Whitney brings us needed height and scoring ability inside,"
Budke said. "She is a good shot blocker and gives us a legitimate
presence from 15 feet and in."

Pegram played one season at Drake before transferring to Seward
County.

Budke signed Foster, a 6-foot-2 center, and 5-foot-6 guard Brisa
Silva from junior-college national champion Central Arizona College
earlier this week.
