BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Linda Hill-MacDonald was hired Thursday as the women's basketball coach at the University of Buffalo.

Hill-MacDonald spent four of the past five seasons as an assistant at South Carolina and was previously a head coach at Temple and Minnesota. She also spent three seasons as head coach of the WNBA's Cleveland Rockers and a year as an assistant with the Washington Mystics.

She replaces Cheryl Dozier, who was dismissed in March after a 4-24 season.
