Despite cast, Hornbuckle still practicing
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee's Alexis Hornbuckle suffered collateral ligament damage to her left thumb in practice Monday.
The 5-foot-11 sophomore guard will wear a cast for approximately 10 days but will continue to practice, Jenny Moshak, Tennessee's assistant athletics director for sports medicine, said. The injury will be re-evaluated in two weeks, Moshak added.
Hornbuckle appeared in all 35 games last season, starting 21 contests and averaging 8.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
