Ohio coach Bria, 77-123 in seven seasons, resigns

ATHENS, Ohio -- Lynn Bria resigned as women's basketball coach at Ohio on Tuesday after seven seasons without a winning record.

Ohio finished 9-20 this season and 5-11 in the Mid-American Conference. Bria went 77-123 at Ohio, including 43-69 record in the league. Her season-high for victories was 13, reached three times.

Athletic director Kirby Hocutt said the university will conduct a national search for a replacement.

Bria joined Ohio after leading Central Florida to the 1999 NCAA Tournament and a 50-36 record in three seasons.
