Squire leaving Penn State for undisclosed reason
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Penn State officials say guard Adrienne Squire, one of the Lady Lions' best 3-point and free throw shooters, is leaving the team for an undisclosed reason.
A team spokeswoman says the decision was made by Squire, and that only the junior could say why.
The school says Squire is expected to return to the State College campus for the spring semester.
Squire set an NCAA single-season record last year by making more than 96 percent of her 83 free throw attempts. She also set a Penn State record by hitting 50 straight free throws to open the 2005-06 season.
