TEMPE, Ariz. -- Dymond Simon, the third-leading scorer for No. 10 Arizona State, will miss the rest of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee.

Sun Devils coach Charli Turner Thorne said Simon, who averaged 9.7 points per game off the bench, would likely have surgery soon.

Simon hurt the knee in the first half of Arizona State's 62-54 victory Sunday against Southern California. Simon, a freshman from Phoenix, appeared to knock her knee with the Trojans' Nicole Berberet with 8:26 left in the first half. Simon had to be carried from the court.
