Agronin agrees to extension after 13th season
LEWISTON, N.Y. -- Bill Agronin agreed to a contract extension on Wednesday, a move rewarding Niagara's winningest women's basketball coach.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed. Agronin completed his 13th season with the Purple Eagles and has a 169-179 record. The Purple Eagles are coming off a 14-16 finish, bouncing back after a young roster won only four games in 2005-06.
Agronin is a three-time Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference coach of the year.
