Two games canceled because of wildfires
MALIBU, Calif. -- Two women's college basketball games to be played at Pepperdine on Saturday night were canceled because of wildfires in the area.
Wisconsin and Texas-Arlington were set to meet in the championship game of the Timeout 4 HIV/AIDS tournament at Firestone Fieldhouse. Pepperdine would have played Mississippi in the third-place game.
A fast-moving wildfire pushed by the Santa Ana winds destroyed dozens of homes and forced thousands of residents to evacuate Malibu on Saturday.
