It's UConn's second consecutive week atop the poll, released Tuesday.
The Huskies (27-1) received 30 of 31 first-place votes, the other going to No. 2 North Carolina (26-2). The Tar Heels, who lost at UConn on Jan. 21, lost two first-place votes this week. They received 734 points to UConn's 771.
Voters kept the first seven in the poll in their places since last week: Tennessee (25-2) at No. 3, followed by Rutgers (22-4), Maryland (28-2), LSU (23-4) and Stanford (25-3). Rutgers is the only team to have defeated UConn, and the Big East regular-season title likely will be at stake when they meet again March 3 to close out the season.
Baylor (23-3) and California (23-4) traded places at Nos. 8 and 9, with Oklahoma (20-5) holding steady in 10th.
Old Dominion (24-3) and Duke (21-7) shared 11th in the poll with 444 points. Big East members West Virginia (22-4) and Notre Dame (21-6) held their positions at 13th and 14th, while George Washington and Utah (23-3) shared space at No. 15.
Kansas State (18-8), Texas A&M (20-7), Oklahoma State (21-5) and Georgia (20-7) completed the top 20.
Marist (26-2), Ohio State (20-7), UTEP (23-2), and Top 25 newcomers Vanderbilt (20-7) and Wyoming (22-4) rounded out the rankings. Pittsburgh (18-8) and Syracuse (20-6) fell out of the poll.
