Connecticut near-unanimous No. 1 in latest rankings

Connecticut received 30 of 31 first-place votes to remain firmly on top of the ESPN/USA Today women's basketball poll, released Tuesday afternoon.

Connecticut has 772 points, comfortably ahead of North Carolina (27-2) and Tennessee (27-2), which remained second and third in the rankings.
UConn (29-1) knocked off Rutgers on Monday night to grab the Big East regular-season title. The loss dropped Rutgers one spot to No. 5 in the rankings, one place behind Maryland (29-2).
The rest of the top 10 remained unchanged: No. 6 LSU (25-4), No. 7 Stanford (27-3), No. 8 Baylor (24-4), No. 9 California (24-5) and No. 10 Oklahoma (21-6) stayed where they were a week ago.
