COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State junior forward Star Allen will be eligible when the Buckeyes play their first-round game in the upcoming NCAA tournament.
The preseason All-Big Ten selection sat out the winter quarter to concentrate on academics. She remained on the Buckeyes roster and was permitted to practice with the team throughout the term.
The Buckeyes, Big Ten regular-season champions the last four years, find out Monday night who they will meet in the opening round of the NCAA tournament.
Allen missed 18 games and the Buckeyes went 13-5 during that span.
A second-team All-Big Ten choice last year, Allen started 10 of the first 12 games this season, averaging 8.6 points and 7.1 rebounds.
