Florida A&M decides not to renew Clark's contract

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Debra Clark was let go as Florida A&M University women's basketball coach after compiling a 14-17 record in her seventh season at the school.

School officials made the announcement Tuesday. Clark was 100-109 during her tenure.

Athletic director Bill Hayes said he decided not to renew Clark's contract.

A 1984 graduate of Hampton (Va.) University, Clark has a 211-194 career coaching record, including a seven-year stint at Winston-Salem State University.

Hayes did not have a timetable for naming a replacement.
