Inglese resigns after 15 seasons at Boston College
BOSTON -- Boston College basketball coach Cathy Inglese, who guided the Eagles to the most wins in their women's basketball history, is stepping down after 15 seasons.
The school announced Inglese's resignation Thursday night.
Inglese's 2007-2008 team was 21-12 and finished fifth in the Atlantic Coast Conference. She has eight 20-win seasons and seven NCAA tournament appearances in the last 10 years. Her teams have appeared in three NCAA Sweet Sixteens the last six years.
She has 273 wins and 179 losses in her career at BC, and a career record of 393-253 in 22 years coaching NCAA women's basketball.
She had a 120-74 record from 1986-1993 at Vermont.
