WASHINGTON -- Mike Bozeman was hired Tuesday as George Washington's women's basketball coach.
Bozeman spent the past three seasons as an assistant under Joe McKeown, who resigned this month after a 19-year tenure to become the women's coach at Northwestern.
The Colonials advanced to the NCAA tournament in each of Bozeman's three seasons, including back-to-back final 16 appearances in 2007 and 2008. Bozeman also led the Colonials to a 3-1 record while serving as interim coach during the 2006-07 season, including an upset of 10th-ranked Georgia and a title at the San Diego Surf 'N Slam Classic.
