UConn leads unchanged top five in poll
Connecticut, which is beating opponents by an average of nearly 40 points per game, leads an ESPN/USA Today women's basketball poll that is unchanged in its top five spots.
The Huskies (23-0) received all 31 first-place votes, leading No. 2 Stanford (21-1, with its only loss coming to UConn), No. 3 Notre Dame (21-1, with its only loss coming to UConn), No. 4 Nebraska (21-0) and No. 5 Tennessee (21-2).
Xavier (18-3) moved up a spot to No. 6, jumping past Duke (19-4), which is No. 7 after losing to Boston College. West Virginia (21-3) is No. 8, followed by Ohio State (23-3) and Florida State (20-4), which climbed to spots after beating North Carolina and Wake Forest.
North Carolina, meanwhile, fell from 15th to 20th after losing to Miami and Duke.
