SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- On Monday, ESPN's Rebecca Lobo -- a former Connecticut standout and national player of the year -- sat down for Five Questions With UConn senior Tina Charles, who could surpass Lobo's career rebounding record Monday at Notre Dame. Be sure to watch the video to the end for an appearance from Huskies coach Geno Auriemma.
Rebecca Lobo: "Tonight you will probably become the leading scorer and rebounder in UConn history. Who is No. 3 on the rebounding list?"
Tina Charles: " Rebounding list um either Kara Wolters? Rebecca Lobo?"
Lobo: "She's gonna be mad at you."
Charles: "[UConn assistant] Jamelle Elliott!" (Laughs.)
Lobo: "The Connecticut Sun have the No. 1 pick in the upcoming WNBA draft. What town is the Mohegan Sun in?"
Charles: "U, I can't pronounce it well, U-Cants-ville? Something like that."
Lobo: "Close enough. You and Joy Cheek from Duke are best friends. When you graduate this spring, which one of you will have gotten the better education?"
Charles: "Um, Joy. Definitely. Joy definitely will have gotten the better education." (Laughs.)
Lobo: "You're not supposed to say that."
Charles (laughing): "But she definitely did."
Lobo: "You're interning at a prison this semester. Is there a defender out there who can lock you down?"
Charles: "Ummmmmm. Nah. Nah. I don't think so." (Laughs.)
Lobo: "And I asked you this last time, but what is Coach Auriemma's real name?"
Charles (emphatically, with arms spread wide): "Luigi!" (Laughs.)
Lobo: "One more time."
Charles (same gesture): "Luigi!!"
Coach Auriemma (who had been in the background talking to someone but now walks by): "Shut up."
